Four Versions of Keto Diet

There are different types of the keto diet, such as:

1. Standard Keto Diet (SKD): This is a moderate protein, high-fat, and low carbohydrate diet. It typically stores 20% protein, 75% fat, and about 5% carbohydrates.

2. Targeted Ketogenic Diet (TKD): This diet allows an individual to consume low-carb foods right before or after the intense workout to stay energetic.

3. Cyclical Ketogenic Diet (CKD): During CKD, you’re allowed to follow the keto diet for 5 days in a week and then you may turn to high-carb diet for 2 days.

4. High-Protein Ketogenic Diet: This diet plan is similar to SKD, but includes high protein level. It contains approx 35% protein, 60% fat, and 5% carbohydrates.

However, only the high-protein and standard keto diets have been studied properly or extensively. Both targeted and cyclical ketogenic diets are highly advanced methods and are basically used by athletes or bodybuilders.
